ITEMS/EQUIPMENT

- Four bags of Spring Onion ( 30 sprouts each )

- Two straws to insert water

- Four big transparent containers

- 2 wire gaze / material with holes

- A big bag of soil ( 1kg )

- Water ( measurement in cups )

- Camera to take photos of progress

-  8 bottle tops ( being cut from plastic bottles , recycled one )

PROCEDURE/STEPS

1ST : Put soil into of the containers ( reasonable amounts )

2ND : Put a wire gaze into two of another containers and fill soil on top of it.

3RD : Fill the bottom of the wire gaze with water using a straw into two of the containers

4TH : Plant the spring onion onto four of the containers ( use the same number of plants for fair experiment )

5TH : Pour some water onto the 4 containers with the same amount to make a fair test. ( water that can sustain the plant for 2 days )

6TH : Observe the happenings for 5 days / 4 days and record in detail each of the plants in each container.

THE METHOD OF PLANTING

Plant 1 : Spring Onions planted in a random order with no water impounding.

Plant 2 : Springs Onions planted in strips with no water impounding.

Plant 3 : Spring Onions planted in random order with water impounding.

Plant 4 : Spring Onions planted in strips with water impounding.

Two containers : One with strip planting , Other with planting with no order.

Two containers : One with strip planting , Other with planting with no order. But this time, there will be a wire gaze below with 4 support from bottle tops for each container. Below the wire gaze there will be water impound for the plants.
